Adult Asthma - Regional Reports

On this page you can download the latest 6-monthly regional reports for England, Scotland and Wales.

The reports are designed to provide Sustainability Transformation Partnerships (STPs) in England, and Health Boards in Scotland and Wales, with an overall indication of the provision of quality assured asthma care by showing:

  • how individual hospitals in the STP/Health Board perform compared to each other, and the national median and
  • how the STP/Health Board compares to other STPs/Health Boards.

All data is reported at both STP/Health Board and individual hospital level for the following key adult asthma audit indicators:

  • Patients receiving respiratory review within 24 hours of arrival
  • Patients with a peak flow measurement taken within 1 hour of arrival
  • Patients receiving six elements of good practice care undertaken as part of discharge
  • Patients administered systemic steroids within 4 hours of arrival to hospital
  • Current smokers with tobacco dependency addressed
  • Patients in receipt of inhaled steroids at discharge

All analysis methodology is provided within the downloaded report on the first sheet of the Excel workbook.
